WELCOME!

We develop advanced and innovative technologies to make concrete materials more sustainable! From high-rise buildings to critical healthcare facilities and vital transportation infrastructure, countless structures/ infrastructure rely entirely or partially on concrete materials. Concrete versatility not only enables the creation of iconic landmarks, but also plays a crucial role in fostering economic development and supporting essential services. Our research group, located in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Calgary, is committed to support communities and industries by carefully designing and testing concrete materials with advanced scientific approach. We value equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in our team and collaborate with a wide range of partners, including academic members, government agencies, local start-ups, and industrial associations, to create innovative and sustainable concrete solutions.
